What is a Course Reading List?

Course Reading List (formerly called Leganto) is a tool which allows you to connect course readings, and other content, from the library or other web sources to one centralized list in Canvas.

Using a Core Reading List is hugely beneficial for the following reasons:

  • Saves students money by using items already owned or licensed by the Library;
  • Saves students time with an easy to use one-stop shop for articles, books, websites, magazines, newspapers, videos, and more;
  • Track student engagement with usage statistics on the items in your reading lists;
  • All efforts are made by library staff to make readings accessible to screen readers with optical character recognition (OCR)
  • Easily reuse and revise course reading lists each semester;
  • Comply with copyright guidelines, with the Library paying copyright fees if needed.

For step-by-step instructions on how to set up or adjust Course Reading Lists for your class, please visit  https://libguides.stkate.edu/readinglists or contact your subject librarian.
