What is a Course Reading List?
Course Reading List (formerly called Leganto) is a tool which allows you to connect course readings, and other content, from the library or other web sources to one centralized list in Canvas.
Using a Core Reading List is hugely beneficial for the following reasons:
- Saves students money by using items already owned or licensed by the Library;
- Saves students time with an easy to use one-stop shop for articles, books, websites, magazines, newspapers, videos, and more;
- Track student engagement with usage statistics on the items in your reading lists;
- All efforts are made by library staff to make readings accessible to screen readers with optical character recognition (OCR)
- Easily reuse and revise course reading lists each semester;
- Comply with copyright guidelines, with the Library paying copyright fees if needed.
